“Venus Vacation Prism: Dead Or Alive Xtreme” is a dating game with female characters from the “Dead or Alive” fighting game franchise. As the manager of the Venus Islands, the player runs the Venus Festival and dates the six girls who are in the festival.

The main gameplay revolves around interacting with the girls, selecting dialogue choices and taking pictures of them during the dates. The pictures are saved in the game album, which awards fans (effectively points) that unlock more outfits, hairstyles and camera functions. There are also mini-games where the player needs to press timed-button-prompts to perform the correct action.
The female characters in the game are buxomly young women who can be dressed in various outfits, including skimpy bikinis and lingerie that expose much of their cleavage and buttocks. During the characters’ movements, their breasts visibly heave and bounce. A core gameplay mechanic involves a camera mode where the player can freely manipulate the camera perspective to take pictures of the women, with the option to focus on particular body parts. In some scenarios, the women adopt provocative or titillating positions, but these positions occur in a non-sexual context and the game does not contain depictions of nudity. There are also some suggestive sexual innuendoes in the dialogue.
