Set in Tokyo, Japan, ‘Digimon Story Time Stranger’ is a role-playing game in which players assume the role of an agent from a secret organisation. The protagonist and companions embark on a quest to uncover the mystery behind their world’s collapse and possibly change its fate.
The game is rated Advisory 16 (Suitable for 16 & Above).
Played from a third-person perspective, players navigate between two parallel realms – the human world and the Digital World of Iliad. Throughout their journey, they encounter various monsters (i.e. Digimon) which can be captured and raised for combat against other Digimon. Players can also engage with Digimon settlements to undertake quests that drive the story forward.
General violence depicted in the game is mild. Combat is turn-based, where players will deploy their Digimon and take turns with enemy Digimon to perform actions such as movement and attacks. During combat, bright flashes, hit-points and depleting health bars appear when enemies are struck. Upon a fatal blow, slain Digimon will fall backwards and disappear.
The game contains some suggestive content. Players will encounter Digimon in the form of female humanoids wearing revealing outfits that expose cleavage and parts of their body, including one with the under-curves of her breasts clearly seen. These depictions can be contained within the Advisory 16 Classification Guidelines, which permit “still or moving images which may be mildly suggestive”.
