‘Stellar Blade’ is a sci-fi action roleplaying game set in the far future. Earth has been left in destruction following an invasion by an alien race known as the Naytiba, with most humans forced to abandon the planet and flee to a space colony. Super-soldier Eve returns to the desolate Earth as part of a squad tasked to reclaim it from the invaders.
The game is rated M18 for violence and gore.
From a third-person perspective, the player controls Eve to explore a post-apocalyptic Earth to scavenge resources and interact with human survivors. Defeating enemies and completing missions earn currency, experience and skill points to purchase items and upgrade Eve’s skills, while also progressing the story. Eve uses a blade, explosives and a variety of skills to take on the Naytiba in melee combat. A drone accompanies her on missions and can transform into a gun that Eve wields for ranged attacks.
Battles frequently result in blood splatter that stain surrounding surfaces. Alien enemies, including those in humanoid form, can be bisected, decapitated or dismembered by attacks, leaving behind severed body parts in the aftermath. There are also scenes depicting intense violence, such as human-like characters being dismembered and killed. The M18 guidelines permit “depictions of realistic violence, such as killing, maiming or causing other serious injury to humanoid characters.”
Female characters are often depicted wearing suggestive outfits, including skin-tight bodysuits that accentuate their voluptuous body proportions and the curves of their breasts and buttocks. There are also and cleavage-revealing, bikini-like and high-slit outfits that expose cleavage or parts of their buttocks. Additionally, female characters’ breasts visibly jiggle as they move about. The player may also encounter statues with some details of nudity, but the depictions are not explicit.
